Service Description
From Winter to PG Spring: Family Forest Adventures Parent & Tot Best suits children age 2-5 years old. 4 Saturdays: 🌲 March 14 - Secrets of the Woodland ☀️ March 21 - The Turning of the Seasons (First Day of “Spring”-ish) 🦌 March 28 – Tracks, Trails & Animal Tales 🥚 April 4 – Hidden Eggs & Forest Treasures Ages 2 – 5 years Join us for four magical Saturdays exploring the woodland with your child through stories, games, animal tracks & nature play. Children will climb logs, follow animal trails, cook in the mud kitchen, and discover the secrets of the woodland. No Drop-ins. Free for children under 24 months with older sibling. Limited Spaces. Parents are responsible for supervising their child(ren) at all times. Mousewood facilitators will provide programming, materials, and guidance, but this is not a childcare program. POLICIES You will be asked to leave if you do not have the proper outdoor wear/safety gear for your child. See below. WEATHER AND WHAT TO BRING Classes take place exclusively outside. All weather. Everyone must dress appropriately for the weather. Always including waterproof boots and muddy buddies. Bring a backpack with a change of clothes. Muddy buddies recommended over snow suits due to paint, water, puddles, creek, melting snow, rain. Recommended: waterproof picnic blanket; chairs; sled with pull rope FOOD AND DRINK All children must have water bottles. Light snack will be provided for children, and will be eaten outside. If your child has food intolerances or your child or family has food preferences, please bring a snack for your child. * Peanut friendly. PARENTS AND CHILDREN There MUST be at least one adult per every 2 children age 2-5 years old. If there is a child under the age of 2 years, there must be a second adult. RISK You will be informed of the risks and must sign an acknowledgement of risk at Mousewood as per our policies, and a waiver for our insurance provider. There is a small accessible pond and a spring run-off creek that we will be visiting. There is a wetland with a larger "duck pond" that is relatively inaccessible that we will not be visiting. TO BE NEAR THE POND AND CREEK You must hold each child's hand, have a tether to your child, have a lifejacket on your child, and/or keep your infant/toddler restrained in a stroller or carrier. Please inform us of your child's need for a lifejacket if necessary. See Family Program Policies for Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellation probable in wind storm. You will be contacted if a class is cancelled. No refund if one Saturday is cancelled due to circumstances beyond Mousewood's control.
