Cancellation Policy

Mousewood Summer Day Camps are small-group, outdoor and nature-based programs focused on exploration, creativity, play, and connection with nature. Registration & Payment Full payment is required at registration to reserve your child’s space. Spaces are limited and first-come, first-served. Registration includes agreement to the Parent Handbook, registration forms, risk acknowledgement forms, illness policies, medication policies, and all program expectations. Cancellations & Refunds Cancellations made 14 or more days before camp may receive a partial refund. Cancellations made less than 14 days before camp are non-refundable. Missed days due to illness or absence are non-refundable. If Mousewood must cancel or modify programming due to emergencies, weather, wildfire smoke, staffing, licensing, environmental concerns, or other unforeseen circumstances, refunds, credits, transfers, or rescheduled programming may be offered at Mousewood’s discretion. Outdoor Programming Mousewood camps take place primarily outdoors in a variety of weather conditions and natural environments. Programs may be adjusted or partially moved indoors due to smoke, storms, extreme weather, or safety concerns. Families are responsible for providing appropriate outdoor clothing and supplies as outlined in the Parent Handbook. Support Needs & Care Plans Families must contact Mousewood before registering if their child has allergies, medical needs, behavioural considerations, developmental support needs, emotional regulation needs, safety concerns, or other considerations requiring accommodations or care planning. Additional meetings, care plans, orientation visits, adjusted attendance arrangements, or outside support participation may be required prior to attendance. Because camps are short-term programs, Mousewood reserves the right to determine whether the camp environment is an appropriate fit for a child’s support needs and available staffing capacity. Orientation Sessions Orientation and onboarding sessions will be offered on select weekends throughout the summer. Families are responsible for reviewing available dates and attending a session whenever possible. Program Adjustments Mousewood reserves the right to modify activities, schedules, staffing, special experiences, and programming plans based on enrollment, weather, staffing, safety considerations, or operational needs.
